We mourn the passing of Bishop Francis X. DiLorenzo, 12th Bishop of Richmond. Eternal rest grant onto him O Lord!

The Funeral Arrangements for Bishop DiLorenzo at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart are as follows:

  • Thursday, August 24th  at 3:00 p.m.
    • Reception of the Body
    • Followed by Visitation
    • 7:00 p.m.    Vespers

The Cathedral will be open and the Bishop will lie in state for vigil throughout the night on Thursday.  The doors will remain open until 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning and reopen at 10:00 a.m.

  • Friday, August 25th at  11:00 a.m.
    • Funeral Mass
    • Followed by entombment in the Cathedral Crypt
    • Reception to be held in the Altria Theater

St Jerome Food Pantry is in need of the following items: Rice, Potatoes(canned, box or pouch) Canned Vegetables, Condiments, Canned Meats(stews, dumplings, hash etc) Fruit(canned, cup or dried) Pie and Biscuit Mix. Milk(shelf or dry), Pork and Beans, Cup-o-noodle, Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Gravy mix, Stuffing, Coffee, Cereal.

PLEASE NO PERISHABLES......WE DO NOT HAVE PROPER STORAGE FACILITIES

Columbarium News

 The Bi-Annual maintenance to the Columbarium and the associated fixture  was completed in February. All units were washed down and sealed with the manufacturer recommended product. This process insures that the Columbarium will maintain its beauty and and will continue as place of peace and tranquility.  Thank you for your All Souls Day donation which goes towards this maintenance project

St Jerome is formally opening the application process for a Niche reservation to our Columbarium to Catholics outside of our Faith Community.
