Another way to strengthen our knowledge on the Catholic faith is reading the conversion stories of people from other faiths; Christian or otherwise. What are the rich elements of our faith that compelled others join the Catholic Church? These conversion stories highlight some of the basic elements that we should all be familiar. Here are just a few: 1) the early Christians and church fathers followed the Apostolic teachings and traditions for hundreds of years before the Bible became canonized and even longer before it was widely available in print, 2) the church is the pillar and foundation of truth (1 Timothy 3:15), faith without works is dead (James 2:17), 3) we will be judged by our works (Roman 2, Matthew 15 & 16, Revelations 20 & 22, and more) and 4) approaching the altar for Communion is our acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior (John 6:51). These are just a few examples of our Catholic beliefs. A great source of conversion stories can be found at on The Journey Home on EWTN TV or radio or the Coming Home Network at chnetwork.org.
If you have a friend or family member you would like to memorialize consider purchasing a Memorial Brick to be placed in the Columbarium area.
