Anointing of the Sick

Anointing of the Sick

By the sacred anointing of the sick and the prayer of the priests the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them. And indeed she exhorts them to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ (ccc 1499)

General Information:

When you are ill, or in the hospital, or going to have surgery, you are offered the opportunity to receive God’s grace through the Sacrament of Anointing.  If you are too ill to come to Church, the priest will make every effort to get to you.  Please call or have a family member call the office as we do not receive calls from all the hospitals.
