Parish Lenten Retreat 2025

March 11th through the 13th our parish is holding a very special Lenten Retreat. Featuring talks by Fr. Dillon Bruce our retreat begins with our parish Regional Reconciliation Night on the 11th, moves to Adoration with a talk on the 12th, and closes with a talk and a Taize Prayer Service on the 13th. No registration required!

Spring is rapidly approaching and so is Easter!!
We would love to get the grounds around the church beautiful before the holiday!
On Sunday March 30 from noon to 3pm; Tuesday April 1 from 9am - noon and Sunday April 6 from 10am - 2pm we will be working as a team to get the grounds beautified. Please spread the word! Stations, gardens, etc!
March Jubilee Pilgramage

In honor of the 2025 Jubilee Year our parish is taking a pilgrimage to the Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Norfolk on Tuesday, March 18th. The trip costs $35.00 (can be paid online here: https://www.givecentral.org/customizable-online-giving/605/event/42809) and includes a bus trip to the Basilica, Lunch, Adoration and Fellowship.
The day begins at 8:00 AM and will likely be back around 4:00 PM. Space is limited!

The Columbarium Committee has obtained a programmable digital lock for the Columbarium entry gate.
This lock will permit Vault Owners and family members to access their Columbarium unit at any time. Each Owner will have a unique PIN that will provide access.

St Jerome accepts applications for a Niche reservation to our Columbarium to Catholics outside of our Faith Community.
If you have extended family or friends who would be interested in reserving a Niche in our Columbarium have them contact Fran Blanchard at 757-877-5021

We believe Stewardship is a way of life inspired by the belief that we should thank God for all He has given us by giving back to our Church and community. We can help you find your place! Don’t see a ministry you are interested in? Please contact the parish office at 757-877-5021 and share your interests and ideas for any ministries.
Greeters:Isn’t it nice when someone welcomes you to church? Greeters present a welcoming hand, warm heart, and a friendly face to all parishioners and visitors who enter the doors of St. Jerome. Being a greeter is a great way to help others feel the love of Christ as they come to worship Him. We need greeters at all Masses. If you would like to meet others within the parish and share God’s love with them, become a greeter! Please contact the parish office at 757-877-5021 for more information
Lectors: Do you have the gift of public speaking and want to share your talent with the community? If so, please consider being a lector to proclaim the word during the weekend Masses. We are in need of lectors to read at all of our Masses, (especially at 7:00am and 12noon Mass) If interested call the parish office at 757-877-5021.
Adult Choir: If good vocal quality is your forte, please come forward and volunteer for this ministry as a choir member or cantor. Thank you, Lord, for giving us the gift of music and for voices to sing your praises. This ministry provides the parishioners with resounding vocal support in every phase of the Liturgy.
Skills: Ability to hold a tune and/or willing to learn, musical awareness, and be comfortable in front of people.
Gifts: out-going, compassionate, leadership, love to minister through music, generous with time and talents.
Practice: One hour prior to each Mass or at discretion of Choir Director.If interested, please contact Patricia Van Hee through the church office at 877-5021.

The significance of this painting is Mary was Paul's daughter, who passed away a few days before Christmas, her first birthday. The family demonstrated amazing faith during this terrible time. The three castles in the background are for Mary's parents and both sets of grandparents. |
